A MasterClass series in Entrepreneurship for the Military Community
Are you thinking about starting a business and want to learn from experienced business owners? Or are you already in business and need advice on growing your sales? Or are you just tired of your government job (we promise not to tell) and curious if being a small business owner is right for you?
The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Veterans Committee in conjunction with the Veterans Business Outreach Center at Community Business Partnership and Fair Winds Brewing Company will offer a MasterClass series in entrepreneurship this fall.
What's a MasterClass? It's a class given to students of a particular discipline by an expert of that discipline where skills in that field are being developed.
We will be hosting a series of six classes September to December 2018 at Fair Winds Brewing Company. Classes are held on select Tuesdays, 3-5 p.m. This series is limited to a cohort of 15 people with a $100 program fee including all six classes and a drink token for each meeting. The MasterClass is open to all members of the military community including all era veterans, active duty, National Guard, Reservists and military spouses.
September 4 & 18
October 2 & 9
Confirmed guest speakers include Casey Jones - owner of Fair Winds Brewing Company, Suzy Mills - owner of Honest Soul Yoga, Abe Kamarck - founder of True Made Foods, Emily McMahan - executive director of Capitol Post, Mike Ross - co-founder of Beanstalk , Elizabeth and Rick Myllenbeck - owners of Sonoma Cellar, and Fred Wellman - ceo of ScoutComms.
This is a non-selling event. Seating is limited to members of the military community interested in starting a small business.
Are you in a hospitality or service profession (CPA, attorney, real estate, consultant, finance, etc.) and wish to market to the military community? While this series is not for you, you're encouraged to call the Chamber office to learn about other upcoming networking events, 703-866-3500.
