LEGISLATIVE
The legislative committee monitors and advises the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce on legislative and regulatory issues on the local, state and federal levels, and promotes the interests of our membership. The Chamber’s legislative policy positions are vetted by the committee and adopted by majority vote of the Chamber’s board of directors. MARKETING
The marketing committee coordinates the dissemination of information on all things related to the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Communication outreach focuses on both member, potential-member, and community audiences. Creative marketing efforts are in support of membership initiatives, events, visibility within the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce community, community involvement, member support and general Chamber news and policies.

EMERGING LEADERS
Emerging Leaders, formerly the young professionals group, is a dynamic group of emerging leaders who enjoy networking and connecting in an approachable atmosphere to create personal and professional relationships that play a key role in their development and success, now and in the future. The group meets the last Wednesday of the month for a happy hour meeting.

MEMBERSHIP
Responsibilities include mentoring and assisting new members in assimilating and getting the maximum benefits out of their respective GSCOC membership. This often includes occasional one to one meetings, good will phone calls, or other methods of contact to facilitate the needs of both new and existing members to maximize the membership value in GSCOC and to strengthen retention. As a committee ideas are passed to the executive board to help in the creation of recruitment and retention programs or processes. All Chamber members are invited to display the Chamber logo in-store and online.

VETERANS
The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Veterans Committee is committed to servicing our military members and their families. A very important part of the Committee’s mission is to take care of veterans which includes preparing them and connecting job seekers to careers after military service. Our veterans represent a valuable resource for employers needing highly qualified talents.
