It's always fun to shout-out good news happening in our small business community.
Late last fall Minnieland Academy at Gunston (in Gunston Plaza) received accreditation granted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Chamber representatives will be at Minnieland Wednesday, Jan. 25, 5:00 p.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Minnieland's achievement. Come join us.
Since 1985, NAEYC has offered a national, voluntary accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood education programs, and to help families identify high-quality programs. NAEYC accreditation represents the mark of quality in early childhood education. Over 6,500 child care programs, preschools, early learning centers and school-based early childhood education programs are currently NAEYC accredited. These programs provide high quality care and education to nearly one million young children in the United States.
During the accreditation process all areas of Minnieland Academy at Gunston’s program were scrutinized including administration, staff development and the working environment, the developmental program, outdoor and indoor environments, health and safety as well as parent and community relations.
Come help the Chamber congratulate Minnieland and its hardworking staff. They're teaching our future workforce.
